After 2 years of construction and over 250,000 manhours worked on site, Plocher has completed construction of new material handling and waste water treatment systems for the Ameren Sioux plant. The system tie-ins were completed under unit outages during the fall of 2020 and the plant was able to resume operations ahead of schedule. Plocher was presented with major challenges through the project from the floods of 2019 to the COVID-19 crisis of 2020, but remained focused and was able to complete the work scope ahead of schedule. This project was successfully executed through collaborative efforts among the project team that exemplifies our long standing relationship with Ameren.
