Plocher was the civil contractor for two large scale transmission line rebuild projects this fall. These projects were located in Clinton IL & Carbondale IL. The scopes entail drilling and pouring drilled pier foundations ranging from 20-70 feet below grade. Both projects were outage driven and required tight construction windows spanning from September to December.

• Carbondale – 100EA FDN completed this fall wrapping up a scope of 237 total. The terrain this fall was the biggest challenge as we were in and out of hilly/wet areas. Two crews were needed for a majority of this project.
• Clinton – On track to complete 154 FDN this fall and will come back next spring to complete 63 FDN’s (217EA Total). We started with two crews this fall and ramped up to three at the high point of construction.
